Acland Street Village

Inspired by the major street renovations Acland Street (in St. Kilda, Melbourne) has seen between March 2016 – November 2016, a group of local business owners called ‘Acland Street Village’ has involved us in conversations regarding the marketing of the new space and the businesses within it. In an effort to ride and guide the new changes to the street and create excitement towards the opportunities unveiled in this update – we were called to tailor a complete branding solution which will reflect the new attitude and vibe.

Together, we decided to re-brand ‘Acland Street Village’ around the themes of vibrancy, youth, livelihood, beach-life, aspired lifestyle and fun. We also recommended to embed the most iconic elements of St. Kilda in the visual language and messaging behind the designs and marketing tools developed.

We started by designing their new logo to fit these new ideas:

The new logo instantly sets the scene with its collage of iconic and themed imagery: The ‘Luna Park’ mouth and rollercoaster tracks, the beachy palm trees, the tram and the windsurfing sails.

Once a brand and suitable visual language were created, we went on to produce a variety of active marketing products for ‘Acland Street Village’ including:
